Job Description:

A Lifescape Masonry Apprentice can work well with others, is dependable and takes direction. Responsible for assisting in the production of small- and large-scale Masonry projects.

Compensation: $41,600 - $48,840

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Mason or Foreman read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to execute work
• Sort and gather stone, brick, or block for assembly of masonry units
• Assist in building and dismantling forms used for pouring concrete
• Set-up and take down scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
• Accurately install project according to plans and on budget with guidance of Mason or Foreman
• Load truck and trailer as needed to and from job site/shop
• Assist in the preparation of jobsites prior to the beginning of a project
• Properly mix various grades of mortars
• Properly mix, pour, and spread concrete
• Ensure structures are perfectly vertical and horizontal, using a plumb bob, level or laser (in any combination)
• Clean and polish surfaces with hand or power tools
• Fill expansion joints with the appropriate caulking materials
• Special duties and projects assigned as needed

Qualifications:

• OSHA-10 or higher (preferred)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)
• 1+ years of field experience
• Valid driver’s license with approval from fleet insurance carrier
• Proficient in paver installation, irrigation, low voltage lighting, and planting techniques
